Candidate Selection and Matching Process
Akamai Healthcare
seeks nurses with a 4-year baccalaureate
degree in nursing from top and accredited
schools in the Philippines. This nursing
degree is equivalent to a US Bachelor of
Nursing degree. These nurses are currently
licensed to deliver healthcare in the Philippines
and have 2-5 years of nursing experience
in various specialties of the
medical field. They have taken and passed
the qualifying examination of the Commission
of Graduate Foreign Nursing School (CGFNS),
Test of English As a Foreign Language (TOEFL),
as well as Test of Spoken English Exam (TSE).
We will help review
and train these nurses pass their National
Council Licensure Examination for Registered
Nurses or the NCLEX-RN. We try to
maximize our nurses' rate of success in
passing this licensure exam by providing
them with review materials and in some cases
reimburse them for their Kaplan Review courses.
They can take the NCLEX exam either in Saipan
or Guam or in the US upon arrival as appropriate.
Akamai Healthcare
uses the Credentials Evaluation Service
(CES) as an aid in reviewing, evaluating
and verifying the candidate's credentials.
We select only the best possible candidates
who meet Akamai standards. We review all
resumes and handle all prescreening activities
to determine the best possible candidates
for consideration. We conduct 1st and 2nd
round interviews before presenting the candidates
to the hospital's Human Resource department.
Akamai Healthcare
pays for the nurses VISA SCREEN.
Visa screen is a program that verifies credentials
of the nurse to insure that they meet the
US government's minimum eligibility standards
to qualify for certain occupational visas.
Visa screen is sponsored by the International
Commission and Healthcare Profession (ICHP),
a division of the Commission on Graduates
on Foreign Nursing Schools (CGFNS).
We work closely
hand and glove with our hospital partners
every step of the way in this recruitment
venture. We strive to make this enterprise
painless and seamless so that it becomes
a pleasant experience for both parties.
We schedule personal interviews between
hospital and nurses and arrange for travel
and hotel accommodations . And if not possible,
arrange for phone or video interview with
candidates as needed.
Once the hospital
facility has made the decision to hire,
Akamai will then work with the hospital
team to structure and sign a contract agreement
with the successful candidates.
