1.) WHAT KIND OF BENEFITS WILL I RECEIVE WORKING WITH AKAMAI HEALTHCARE?

2.) WHAT CREDENTIALS ARE NEEDED TO BECOME EMPLOYED WITH AKAMAI HEALTHCARE?

You will need a current license or certificate, current CPR and PPD, a current physical exam and an I-9 documentation.

4.) IF I CHOOSE TO BECOME AN AKAMAI HEALTHCARE EMPLOYEE, DO I HAVE TO WORK EXCLUSIVELY FOR AKAMAI HEALTHCARE?

No, a lot of our nurses are employed in hospitals or clinics part time or full time but decide to work for Akamai Healthcare to increase their income.

5.) HOW DO I CHOOSE AN ASSIGNMENT?

Once Akamai has reviewed your application and skills, your assigned nurse recruiter will discuss this with you. You will be presented with available assignments based on your position and shift preferences. You will also be given complete description of the facility, unit area, salary and pertinent bonuses. Together, you choose the assignment that is right for you. It is always your choice.

6.) WHAT HAPPENS AFTER I CHOOSE AN ASSIGNMENT?

A copy of your paperwork with your selected start date, unit and shift will be sent to the facility for their review along with a time for the facility to call you for a telephone interview. Prior to the interview, it is a good idea to prepare a list of questions you may have about the unit into which you will be working. We want you to be comfortable with your assignment from the very beginning.

7.) WHEN HAVE I MADE A COMMITMENT?

Following your telephone interview with the facility, you and the facility will decide if the assignment is right for you. There is no pressure or obligation for you to accept the assignment.

8.) DO I HAVE TO GET ANOTHER PHYSICAL AND PPD?

You do not need one for as long as it is within a year. Just provide us documentation.

9.) DO YOU OFFER BONUSES AND OTHER INCENTIVES?

Yes, we provide referral bonuses and other incentives. We encourage you to discuss this further with your assigned recruiter.

10.) WHAT IS AKAMAI HEALTHCARE'S PAY RATES? WHEN AND HOW WILL I BE PAID?

Your hourly rate will depend on your qualification, competency and the shift you choose. We encourage you to discuss this with your recruiter.

You will be paid weekly and you can also take advantage of our direct deposit program.
